艺术教育工作简介
 
    上海市徐汇区建襄小学创办于1958年,著名劳动模范吴佩芳为学校创办人之一,"鸡毛飞上天"享誉全国。学校分两个校区,总校位于岳阳路255号,分校位于永嘉路420号,与中科院上海分院毗邻校园环境幽雅、整洁。学校以"教好每一个学生"为传统,实施"情感教育"的探索为教改指导思想,课外活动的丰富多彩,袭承"文明、守纪、勤奋、向上"的良好校风,系徐汇区政府名的文明单位、行为规范示范学校和区教科研先进集体、艺术教育特色学校。

    学校现有32个教学班,1300多名学生,有一支专业力量雄厚、富有敬业奉献精神的艺术教师师资队伍。学校领导重视艺术教育工作,并逐步形成校长、教导、艺术总指导,校各类艺术教师及外聘教师等层层网络体制。学校定期组织举行全校性的教师艺术歌唱、知识等普及活动以提高全校教师的艺术水准,并组织校艺术教师多方学习,提高自身素养,逐步呈现全校艺术工作多方参与、力量凝聚的一体化形态布局。

    同时,学校又以"三团一队"建设为抓手,使之辐射到艺术教育的各个方面。学校每年具开设艺术类兴趣小组10个以上,活动计划落实,且重点定时、效果显著,其中校三团一队的成绩更为突出,历年来校合唱团、舞蹈团、器乐团分获区各类比赛一等奖 、为区艺术教育特色项目。学校的书画队也经常以板画展等形式进行全校性地交流活动,并在全世界、全国、全市、区范围内分获一二三等奖,学校每学年举办艺术节,参与人数均为100%,并定期举办每月一歌,每周一舞等丰富多彩的各类艺术活动,参与人数也均为100%,在保证普及的基础上,我校的艺术教育、艺术节力求创新,具有特色,多年来获得市、区领导来宾的好评。

    我校艺术工作的亮点为在全校普及口风琴,这在区内是首例。我校自编口风琴教材、指法练习,学生的演奏技巧逐步提高。我校筹办了2002徐汇区学生艺术节,口琴、口风琴、笛子专场比赛,在《新民晚报》5月21日第九版中报道。我校艺术教育工作除了有人力、物力的支撑,还具备理论方面强有力的支撑。2001年我校市级课题申报成功后,我校艺术教育科研课题应运而生,校艺术教师人人申报了子课题,并在此基础上提升重点确立了一个重点课题,经过两年多的实地研究、材料积累,我校研究论文《小学生有效听赏教学策略研究》成果被《徐汇教育》发表,并由市推荐参加全国第三届艺术论文评比获一等奖。

Brief Introduction of Jianxiang Primary School
-- the School with Artistic Education Characteristics

    With the development in the past three years, the artistic education of our school has been effectively improved and gradually become mature.

1. To stress and perfect the integration of artistic education throughout the school

    The principle, dean of studies pay much attention to the artistic education. The school's leading group of artistic education regularly hold the meeting, discussing the activities of artistic education. The operating net system of artistic education at all levels has gradually been formed at our school, which includes the principle, dean of studies, general art director, instructors of arts and guest instructors. Thus. all the efforts can be unified in time to solve the key or difficult problems in the artistic education. The school has kept all the materials and data concerning artistic education since 1998, such as plans, programs, summary or even some relevant photos, video tapes, disks, etc.

    Because of the school leaders' emphasis and good administration, our school has an excellent art faculty. We regularly conduct artistic activities, such as all the staff's artistic singing, popularization of artistic knowledge, etc. in order to improve all the staff's artistic level. Moreover, we have arranged for art instructors' further study to improve their artistic quality.

2. To conduct the construction of "Three Troupes and One Team" (i.e. the school's chorus troupe, dancing troupe, musical instrument troupe and painting & calligraphy team)

    The school actually incorporate artistic education into the overall teaching program of the school. We ensure to have two artistic classes every week. Besides we try to work out some master pieces. In the past three years, our school's various artistic classes have all won the Second Teaching Prizes at the municipal and district level.

    The school puts emphasis on the construction of "Three Troupes and One Team", and makes it radiate every aspect of artistic education. The school opens over 10 artistic taste groups every year and has achieved very good effects. The achievements of three troupes and one team are specially remarkable. In the past years, these three troupes have respectively won the First prizes of various competitions in the district. The painting & calligraphy team often conducted publicity activities in the form of board painting display throughout the school and has also won the First, Second and Third Prizes respectively in the district, in the municipal, in the country or even in the world. The school held Art Festival every year and regularly conducted various artistic activities, such as Monthly Song, Weekly dance, etc. All the pupils and teachers participated in them.

3. To endeavour to create new highlight

    Since 2001, our school has started and developed three artistic projects at the district level, i.e. chorus, dance and Kou organ (an organ with blowpipe). We invited professionals to our school to give direction to the activities which were conducted every week. In the process of accumulation, we compiled the teaching materials and musical pieces of Kou organ and chorus by ourselves, ensuring the conduct and improvement of the activities.

    The highlight of our school's artistic education is the popularization of Kou organ. Kou organ entering the classroom and utilizing Kou organ to assist teaching is a trend of modern musical teaching. We first started Kou organ teaching in a trial class and then popularized it throughout the school, which was the original case in Xuhui District. We compiled Kou organ teaching materials and manipulation practice as well as learned the blowing skills. We performed Kou organ pieces in the grade and in the whole school, which all received good comments. On the other hand, the pupils' performance skills have gradually been improved day by day. In 2002. our school held the mouth organ, Kou organ and flute competition of the Xuhui District Art Festival and achieved great success. Xingmin Evening newspaper reported it and gave very good comments. Playing Kou organ has become popular in our school. The grand occasion that a thousand people play Kou organ shows the very characteristic of musical education in Xuhui District today. Next semester, our school will hold a Kou organ competition called "the presence of Kou organ sound in every class". At that time, the performance level of our school will be further improved and such characteristic of artistic education will certainly more marvelous.

4. To be practical and give full support to the artistic education

    These years, our school, based on certain requirements, has practically arranged space, time, contents, expenditure, equipment and so on for the artistic education. Besides we have a group of art staff who are stable, efficient and with high teaching proficiency. The artistic education of our school has not only got financial, manpower and material support, but also has powerful theory support. After successful application for the establishment of municipal project, the relevant research projects of our school's artistic education appeared correspondingly. And every art instructor of our school applied for sub-project. From these research projects we finally established one key project. After two-year practical investigation and data accumulation, we wrote out a paper "Research on Teaching strategy for Effective Listening Appreciation of Elementary Pupils", which was published in the journal Xuhui Education and recommended to the assessment of The Third National Artistic Thesis,

    Artistic education, as an important part of quality education, is being deepened and improved at our school and has become a beautiful scenery in the campus culture. This has also become an important back on which the pupils and teachers will improve their aesthetic tastes. We will keep on endeavouring to make our school into a really wonderful school with artistic education characteristics.


District Artistic Characteristic Project:
Kou Organ (organ with blowpipe)
    In 2000, our school compiled teaching materials to started Kou organ teaching in a trial class and managed to make Kou organ popular in the pupils. We also experimented with teaching the blowing skills of Kou organ in and out the class. Based on this, we have popularized Kou organ teaching throughout the school since 2001. In order to improve the effects of this artistic characteristic, we endeavoured to let every pupil have a Kou organ, practising it in and out the class. In 2001, we succeeded in applying for the artistic characteristic project of the district by a whole school's performance. In 2002, sponsored by Xuhui District Education Administration and the Adolescent Recreation Centre, our school held Jianxiang Cup Competition for the performance of mouth organ, Kou organ and flute. There were almost 60 teams from primary schools and middle schools throughout the district participating in the competition, which turned out to be very successful. Some of the teams won the First Prize, Second Prize or Third Prize. Our school team comprising 80 members performed a piece of The Same Song with hexatone and won the First Prize. The competition was reported in the Xingmin Evening newspaper. Now everrybody at our school learns to play and can play Kou organ. Moreover, the school Kou organ team often in various wonderful form gives performances in many school, district or municipal activities, which always receives very good comments. Thus, we hereby apply for a artistic characteristic project of the district.
